Volunteer as A Game Day
Equipment Truck Drivers
On Game Days the marching band requires a parent volunteer/booster to drive an equipment truck to deliver marching band equipment, e.g., instrument cases, drum stands, etc., from the BHS practice field to Hurley Field.
***The Berkley Instrumental Boosters will rent a box truck if no one volunteers the use of their vehicle.
Please follow the instructions below for details.
Step 1: Park in the parking lot across from the BHS main office and front of the football practice field by 4:45 pm to allow students to load their equipment before the game day rehearsal at 5:00 pm.
Step 2: Depart the parking lot at 5:15 pm and head west on Catalpa Street toward Hurley Stadium. Turn left to head south on Tyler Street. Turn left to head east on Oxford Road. Turn left into the parking lot for Hurley Field. The Berkley Instrumental Boosters are currently working with the district to reserve a parking space for the band to unload near the main gate.
A parking space will be reserved for the Marching Band Equipment Vehicle.
Step 3: Unload the equipment by entering through the main gate and under the bleachers. To the left, there is a gated area that the band stores this equipment to keep it secure for the band members.
Go through main gate to unload music equipment.
Step 4: Enjoy the football game, and the marching band - your job is done.
