MSBOA State Jazz Festival

Jazz Lab Band Performance Time | 8:30 am

Jazz Ensemble Performance Time | 10:10 am

Transportation | Students provide their own transportation.

Student Attire | Concert Black e.g., a solid black dress or solid black dress shirt, solid black dress pants, solid black socks, and solid black shoes - optional: red suspenders, red bow tie, red tie, red headband, red pocket square, etc.

Student Must Do the Following:

It is your responsibility to arrive at the school on time for warm-up.

If you are leaving from Berkley, I recommend the following timeline:

Allow 45 minutes for travel from home or school to Bloomfield Hills High School.
Set aside 10 minutes for parking, entering the school, and locating the band.
Jazz Lab students must be in the homeroom at Bloomfield Hills High School no later than 7:20 am.
Jazz Ensemble students must be in the homeroom at Bloomfield Hills High School no later than 9:00 am.

Jazz Lab

7:20 am | Arrive at Bloomfield Hills High School

7:25 am | Park and Enter High School

7:30 am | Jazz Lab meets in the homeroom area.

7:50 am | Jazz Lab transition to the warm-up room.

8:00 am | Jazz Lab warm-up.

8:30 am | BHS Jazz Lab Performance

9:00 am | Clinic

9:30 am | Return to homeroom.

10:30 am | Jazz Lab attends the rest of your school day.

Jazz Ensemble

9:00 am | Arrive at Bloomfield Hills High School

9:05 am| Park and Enter High School

9:10 am | Jazz Ensemble meets in the homeroom area.

9:15 am | Jazz Ensemble transitions to the warm-up room.

9:40 am | Jazz Ensemble warm-up

10:10 am | BHS Jazz Ensemble Performance

10:40 am | Clinic

11:10 am | Return to homeroom/pack up equipment and transition cars.

12:30 pm | Lunch, attend the rest of your school day.
