Reminder that we have rehearsal on Monday night at Hurley Field.

14 Sept. | Jazz Band

Students interested in participating in the BHS Jazz Program should register to audition through the Berkley Bands Website (click the button below). Students will upload their audition via audio or video recording in the Jazz Program Schoology course (code: TV6N-BGHV-S7KTX). Specific instructions for what measure to play are in the assignment in Schoology. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Thomann.

21 Sept. | Belleville Marching Band Review

Belleville has sent out the tentative performance schedule for their annual marching band review. Click on the BHS Events/Activities tab - scroll down to Belleville Marching Band Review for details, or click on the button below. The marching band is required to travel with two chaperones to this event. The marching band also needs someone to drive an equipment truck to and from Belleville. The marching band is also looking for someone to take photos and videos of the marching band throughout the event for the end-of-the-year video. The marching band also needs help moving equipment like Drum Major podiums and other equipment. If you can help the band out, scroll to the bottom of the Belleville Marching Band Review page on the band website and fill out the form to volunteer.

***Vertical Raise Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Vertical Raise Fundraiser. With only 59% of students receiving only one donation, the band has raised $6,805. The high school band program needs new equipment in the form of metronomes, mutes for brass, new mellophones, instrument repairs, mouthpieces, reeds, and electronic equipment. I also want to bring in sectional coaches throughout the year to assist the students with learning more about their instruments from a professional player. Please do your part to get more donations.
